Christian Scott Announces Album:

Christian Scott announced today that Christian aTunde Adjuah, the trumpeter-bandleader-composer’s second album, will drop July 31st on Concord Jazz. Scott sums the forthcoming record as “a stretching of jazz, not a replacement.” The expansive double album follows last year’s afro-cuban excursion with Stefon Harris and David Sánchez, and is the New York native’s follow-up to Yesterday You Said Tomorrow (2010), which featured Thom Yorke’s “Eraser”: playing above and reviewed in our last issue’s Hash Tracks:
