In one month pianist (and phenom, and visionary) Robert Glasper will hit Highline Ballroom with special guests to celebrate Black Radio, out on Blue Note that same day. It’s Glasper’s fourth album, and first recorded entirely with the Robert Glasper Experiment instead of his usual trio. The difference? Plugged-in instruments, for one. The rest? Well, ?uestlove called it, ““all that oraculous, spaced-out, past-geometry, near-calculus stuff.”
See for yourself: Check out the lyric video above for the first single, “Ah Yeah.” It’s all we can do while waiting for Glasper’s drummer Chris Dave to come home.

Errors is a self-proclaimed “four-way sound-accident from Glasgow, Scotland.” The band’s third album, Have Some Faith in Magic, will see release January 31 on Rock Action Records.
Their video for new single “Pleasure Palaces” is streaming over at NPR’s All Songs Considered blog. And it might just bring back some old memories—or nightmares. Or if you’re a designer, it might just remind you of work.

Meet Olds Sleeper, a lo-fi folkster who records in Pennsylvania, and compulsively so; he offered up six albums in 2011.
“Walk With Me” stomps with purpose and arrives early in New Years Poem, his latest long-player. Like all of his music, it’s available for free and streaming over on Olds’ bandcamp.

On January 24, Toronto rock quartet and ambient alchemists The Darcys will drop their gorgeous interpretation of the Steely Dan classic AJA, on Arts & Crafts.
If you’re already streaming “Josie” and familiar the original you’ll see they’ve sapped the funk, but injected oodles of deliciously rippling atmosphere. Head over to their page to grab it gratis.
